Saia was successful in acquiring 28 terminals during two Yellow auctions last year, completing the acquisition of the properties in January.

Once opened, these facilities will allow us to:

• Provide direct coverage in new areas,
• Add density in existing markets, and
• Serve as replacements for existing leased and owned terminals.

This year, we plan to open 15 to 20 new terminals and will relocate a handful of existing properties.

These additional terminals are strategic to our “Customer First” core value and our commitment to providing industry-leading service as we enhance our direct national coverage.

We are particularly pleased with the additional terminals acquired in the Great Plains, Minnesota, and New Jersey. The terminals will provide Saia with access to new markets and the opportunity to upgrade others.

We started an aggressive expansion of our national footprint back in 2017, and since then, we’ve opened 46 new terminals in addition to relocating several facilities to add capacity in key markets. With this acquisition, our total terminal count will increase to 203 when these facilities open.
