This month, we're featuring the approaching wellness program deadline and the dates for the 2022 open enrollment.
Wellness Deadline Approaching
As you recently heard in quarterly employee meetings, Saia has offered a wellness program for a number of years as a way to support employees as they seek to lead healthier lives. The program has helped personnel tackle a variety of health-related issues including smoking cessation, diabetes, and weight loss.
Most recently, the program has focused on our annual campaign, which asks eligible employees and spouses to visit with a primary care physician so they can help identify and provide education regarding each individual’s own personal health risk factors.
Currently, we’re asking eligible employees to please review the new wellness guide, which is available on SaiaCONNECT, to learn more about this year’s wellness deadlines and explore ways to improve your health.
In brief, benefit eligible employees and spouses, who are currently enrolled or plan to enroll in the 2022 health plan, should complete an annual physical exam with their physician between Oct. 1, 2020 and Sept. 30, 2021 and ask the doctor to complete and sign the physician results form, returning it no later than Oct. 15, 2021.

Open Enrollment for 2022
Mark your calendars!
Saia’s annual online open enrollment will held this year from Oct. 11 through Nov. 5, 2021. The open enrollment period allows benefit-eligible employees to elect benefits coverage for 2022.
Remember, all full-time employees desiring benefits must enroll even if they have previously enrolled either as a newly hired employee in 2021 or during past open enrollment periods. Failure to do so will result in a loss of benefits.
